Spice Jars Game

Preparation Time:  30 minutes

Duration:  15 minutes

Ingredients needed: Several jars of various spices, paper to cover the labels, pads of paper.

Description: Great for a kitchen shower!  Jars of spices, labels covered and numbered 1 thru 10 (or however many you choose) are passed around.  Guests may look at, smell and even taste the spices to figure out what spice is in each jar.

How to get ready:  Purchase several kinds of spices - ten is a good number.  Look for some that are similar in color or texture.  Once you have the jars, cover the label on each one with a strip of paper.  Wrap it around the jar twice so the name doesn't show through.  Then mark it with a number.

The guests are given 10 - 15 minute to figure out what is in the jars.   Once time is up, you can reveal the label of each jar, starting with #1.  Whoever guessed the most spices correctly wins!  And all the jars are given to the Bride.

Variations:  A variant of this, the Baby Food Jar Game, can be done for a Baby Shower, using baby food instead of spices.
