Envelope Game

Preparation Time:  5 Minutes to an hour if you have to shop

Duration:  5 Minutes

Ingredients needed: The envelopes for the Bride's Thank you cards, pens

As each guest arrives, have them write their name and address on an envelope.   Drop the envelopes into a basket.  They now serve two purposes - one, the bride doesn't have to address all those envelopes and two, you can pick one envelope out to give away a door prize.

Preparation

You'll need to coordinate a bit with the Bride.  Normally the thank you notes match the invitations and are ordered in advance.  You just need to get a stack of the envelopes for this activity.  If the thank you notes were not ordered to match the invitations, then you and the Bride can pick out some prepackaged thank you notes - possibly that match the theme of the shower.  Find a nice basket to put them in, place it on a table that has a good writing surface.  Be sure to provide good pens and ask people to write neatly.  Once the shower is over, stack the envelopes and hand them over to the bride.  This is a great time-saver for the busy bride!
