Clothespin Game

Preparation Time:  5 minutes

Duration:  Entire Shower - or till they can't take it anymore

Ingredients needed: Spring-type clothespins

The object here is to not cross your legs or ankles.  Each guest receives a clothespin when they arrive.  They must clip it to their clothes somewhere and wear it throughout the entire shower unless they are caught crossing.  If you do, and another guest catches you, they claim your clothespin.  Don't worry, you're not out of the game - just keep an eye out for someone else crossing their legs!  If you claim some clothespins, and then get caught crossing - whoever catches you gets ALL your clothespins.  The guest with the most clothespins wins!

Preparation

There isn't much prep for this - just make sure you hand out the clothespins early and explain the rules to everyone.

Helpful Stuff

Be tolerant of those folks who just don't want to do this game - I lose my clothespin almost immediately and just give up after that.  Its your choice whether to include the Guest of Honor or not, but she's already the center of attention, so you might give her a break this time.

Variations

I've heard of this game being played with Diaper Pins for a baby shower;  I've also heard of it being done with big colorful paperclips at office meetings.  And finally, I've played this game with MONEY - everyone got a dollar and whoever mentioned WORK had to give up their dollar!   Imagine trying not to say Baby, Cute or Bride at a shower!
